Agnetha Ase Faltskog was born in Jonkoping, on the shores of Lake Vattern in southern Sweden, on April 5 1950. She grew up in a musical and artistic environment. Her father Ingvar regularly put on amateur shows. Her mother Birgit would often sing at home.
Agnetha discovered a neighbour's piano when she was just 5. Everyday the little girl would tap away on the keyboard, the sounds she could make fascinated her. Two years later her parents gave her the instrument she desperately wanted.
She made her stage debut at 7 when her father asked her to sing at a Christmas party in front of an audience of mainly elderly people. She sang "Billy Boy". Her trousers fell down in the middle of the song, causing great hilarity, but this didn't diminish her passion for the stage.
Multi talented Agnetha is an accomplished singer, songwriter, lyricist, record producer, arranger, stage performer and actress. She was also blessed with beautiful good looks and long blonde Swedish hair. Agnetha is an all round nice person and proud mum of two, Linda and Christian.
