Abba stars Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson have shared in a £12m payout from the popular Voyage live show.
The Swedish singers cashed in on the dividend in March as the virtual concert surpassed four million visitors.
While the two female members of Abba, Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, do not have a stake in the production, they receive royalties and licensing fees from the use of their recorded vocals and likenesses.
Licensing fees paid out by Abba Voyage surged to £29.9m in 2025, up from £5.9m the year before, handing a further payday to the pop duo.
Abba Voyage, which launched in 2022, features digital versions of the hit Swedish band as they looked in 1979 performing alongside a live 10-piece band.
The event is held at a custom-built arena in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London.
The payout came even as revenues and profits dropped last year amid two periods of scheduled maintenance.
The total number of performances fell to 348 from 374 the previous year as a result of these “dark” weeks, during which four new songs were added to the set list to coincide with the show’s third anniversary.
As a result, revenues fell from £104.3m to £89.2m, while profits dropped by a third to £5.5m.
The bottom line was boosted by a tax credit of more than £3m under a scheme aimed at attracting major productions to the UK.
The dividend was paid out by UK-based Aniara Limited to its Swedish parent company Goldonder, which was co-founded by Mr Ulvaeus and Mr Andersson, alongside Conni Jonsson, a private equity tycoon. Record label Universal Music is also an investor in the venture.
Abba Voyage, which has extended its London run until June 2027, is one of a number of lucrative ventures cashing in on the Swedish pop group’s enduring popularity.
Mr Ulvaeus and Mr Andersson also control Littlestar Services, the production company behind the Mamma Mia! stage musical and film adaptations.
Littlestar paid out a dividend of £2.4m for the year to the end of March alongside fees of £5.7m.
