Happy birthday to dear Anni-Frid -Frida- Lyngstad today: 80 years old!
Here a photo of our first meeting in august 1981 in Stockholm...She was 35...i was 20...Time flies, yet i remember this day as it was yesterday!
... Her striking beauty, her green eyes, her flaming red hair...her kindness.
I was in Sweden only for a few days and a youth dream of meeting my favourite singer came true...I was there at the right time in the right place...she was taping a TV special, as a solo artist outside of Abba just when i happened to be in Stockholm...It was long before Internet and smartphones...So i am thankful to the nice people I met there who informed me about it...Thankful to her for her warmth, attention and time...I remember what i told her first after greeting her:
"I have come all the way from the south of France in the naive hope of meeting you"!.
...She was touched by my candid sincerity and then she proposed me to follow her to the rehearsals of the show...A fairy tale:-)
