Translation : With the roylties of "Waterloo" the 4 young millionaires could buy summerhouses by the water , just as they wanted .Also in their private lifes the two couples live in visibility .It seems they have coped the fame and the money .They want to carry on producing music and of course want to be on the top of the charts .Interviewer :"Do you want to produce hits for other musicians" ?
Benny:"We mainly write for ourselfes ,because it takes a long time to write a song , but sometimes other artists take over our songs ."
Interviewer :"In which countries do you sell the most records ?"
Benny:"I really don't know , but I think Germany is one of our biggest markets and Sweden , of course .For us this is the biggest LP market .Here in Sweden , we don't sell singles , we sell LPs.I think we sold about 300.000 of the "Waterloo" album ."
Interviewer:"What do you make with the money you earn by selling records ?"
Frida :"We pay the taxes !"
Benny:"Besides , it takes time until we get the money , because the other countries have to invoice ."
Interviewer:"How have your lifes changed afe´ter the Grand Prix ?"
Björn:"Our lifes didn't change much , because we were popular in Scandinavia before .The only thing is , that we have to travel very much now, but that's a positive change !"
Interviewer:"Would you want to take part of another Grand Prix ?"
Agnetha:"Well I think it's enough , to take part one time , when you won , because you have to give a chance to other artists."
"Waterloo" got a hit mainly because it's sung in english .Stikkan Andersson , the manager of the glorious 4 , has a sense for the market , which is english oriented .Who knows on which rank ABBA would have been in Brighton , when they would have sung "Waterloo" in Swedish!
But that are just speculations today .Meanwhile other bands want to go the same way like ABBA,like the winners of the Grand Prix this year , the band from the Netherlands.
So , Swedish , just for fans from Scandinavia.For international ABBA fans , english still is the common speech.
