A new Twitter account, new songs, and a new-found appreciation for the "brave" Theresa May.

Swedish superstars ABBA have recently joined Twitter. Their first tweet announced their arrival to the social platform and currently have over 10,000 likes.

The group have a humble 15.4k following at present, but it is predicted to grow, considering the 44.1k following the ABBA film Mamma Mia and the 34.2k the musical has gained over the years.

The new account comes just in time for the release of the first ABBA music in 35 years. December marks the grand comeback for the four-piece. The announcement was made back in April on Instagram, saying all four members "felt that, after 35 years, it could be fin to join forces again and go into the recording studio."

Two new songs will be launching in December, one titled 'I Still Have Faith In You'. The new ABBA tracks will broadcast on NBC and BBC in December as a TV special.

ABBA appear to be delighted to be releasing new music, finishing their statement with "We may have come of age, but the song is new. And it feels good."

In other ABBA news, Prime Minister Theresa May has not followed the group on Twitter in a shock turn of events. The Dancing Queen showed her love for ABBA when awkwardly 'dancing' on stage at the Tory party conference.



Björn Ulvaeus responded to the Prime Minister's dancing on The Andrew Marr Show earlier this week. Trying to be as kind as possible, he described her impromptu performance as " brave", and deems the PM as a "lady with not a lot of rhythm in her".

Björn revealed he was "kind of touched" by the tribute. The operative word being "kind of". As expected, it's not the most glowing review from the musician.
