Abba-Björn hyllar Greta Thunberg: "Tjej med superkrafter"

Björn Ulvaeus stödjer klimataktivisten Greta Thunberg och beskriver henne som en tjej med nära nog övernaturliga krafter som utmanar patriarkatet – och flera världsledare.
"En spin-off av Greta-effekten är att patriarkatet skiter ner sig av rädsla för den 16-åriga tjejen med superkrafter. Hon har blivit alla populistiska mörkermäns fasa", skriver Björn Ulvaeus i ett debattinlägg som skickats till TT.
Abba-medlemmen skräder inte orden i inlägget och menar att äldre män har blivit Greta Thunbergs värsta belackare:
"Jag tror att Astrid Lindgren skulle ha gillat Greta. Hon är verkligen en rak, envis och genomreflekterad Pippi Långstrump. Med en befriande humor när hon avfärdar sina värsta belackare, som dessvärre i mycket hög utsträckning är äldre män som jag. Det traditionella patriarkatet."
Ulvaeus beskriver henne som en förebild och i den rollen en välsignelse jämfört med ytliga influerare.

A través de un vídeocomunicado, Ulvaeus ha alabado el valor de Thungerg. "Es una bendición en el mundo actual de 'influencers' y estrellas de la televisión". El músico sueco destaca que la joven activista tiene razón al pedir que la ciencia dé respuestas a los problemas actuales. Además, Ulvaeus critica a la "gente mayor" (en referencia a Donald Trump y Vladimir Putin) que desde su poder han osado criticar a la niña "¿Cómo se atreven a algo tan ruin como criticar el aspecto de una niña?".
El músico de ABBA destaca además que Thunberg ha dado un nuevo impulso al movimiento #MeToo. "Es un desafío feminista desde un ángulo diferente. Y eso a muchos hombres les saca de quicio".
Lo que ha conseguido, añade, es un logro "monumental" al haber organizado un movimiento global como Fridays for the future, en tan poco tiempo.
Para concluir, Ulvaeus ha calificado con cariño a Thunberg como "una Pippi Calzaslargas (el personaje literario creado por Astrid Lindgren) decidida, cabezona y reflexiva" con un sentido del humor único para aceptar las críticas de sus detractores.

‘There is a quiet sense of humour with which she dismisses her worst critics.’
Björn Kristian Ulvaeus of the iconic Swedish music group ABBA has come out in unequivocal and powerful support of Greta Thunberg and her message to the world. He says of Thunberg’s critics, “The patriarchy is pissing in their pants right now,” adding that Astrid Lindgren, late Swedish author and creator of the much-loved Pippi Longstocking character “would have liked her.”
Addressing her detractors, who appear to be primarily older men, Ulvaeus asks “How can you stoop so low as to criticise the looks of a child?” and says that Thunberg gives new momentum to the #MeToo movement, as she “poses a feminist challenge from a new angle.”

Calling her a blessing of a role model in a world filled with influencers and reality TV stars, he says, “She’s completely serious when she says we need science to help us mitigate the effects of climate change.”
